Educational Advocacy
The Arc of Greater Boston Advocacy Program helps ensure that children with special needs receive the best possible education within the framework of the law. We help provide parents and guardians with knowledge of the federal and state laws and regulations that govern both special education and the rights and responsibilities of parents. Our goal is to empower parents by strengthening their communication with school professionals and helping them become equal team members that work collaboratively with schools to achieve common goals.
The Arc of Greater Boston Advocacy Program can help with:
- Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Team Meetings
- Consultation
- Information and Referral
- Research
- Early Intervention
- Special Education
- Chapter 688
- Negotiation
- Mediation
Advocacy services are available to members of the Arc of Greater Boston for a fee.
