Board of Directors
The strength of our determination is driven by our Board of Directors. The 19 member Board (15 regular members and 4 ex-officio members) for the Arc of Greater Boston is made up of self advocates, parents and siblings of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, professionals, legislators, and friends who want to make a difference. Many of our board members have someone in their lives whom they care about who has a disability. Others may not, but believe in the cause and want to see steps continuously being taken to ensure that the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are fulfilling, rewarding and fully integrated into their communities.
Appointment to the Board of Directors is generally made through recommendation from an Arc of Greater Boston associate (board member, staff, or interested party). However, if an individual is interested in participating on the board or any of its committees they are welcome and encouraged to give us a call and speak with Terri Angelone, C.E.O., who will be happy to provide you with the appropriate information. We are always looking for dedicated folks to join our team, and are especially interested in folks who can bring to us experience and contacts in the Boston area business, finance, and fundraising fields.
