Summer Camp or Vacation Stipend

A valued benefit of joining the Arc of Greater Boston is eligibility for a summer vacation stipend. Each year, many members of the Arc of G.B. receive a stipend to help defray the cost of a vacation experience. Throughout the years, we have been able to assist hundreds of individuals in participating in a summer camp or vacation.

The success of this program depends on the generosity of many friends and philanthropic foundations that contribute to our summer stipend fund. We are grateful for their support in helping to enrich the lives of so many individuals.

Please Read Before Completing the Application

The application for a summer camp or vacation stipend should be completed by the applicant, a parent, a family member, or a service provider. The application must be filled out entirely. All applications must be reviewed and signed by a social worker, service coordinator, case manager, or teacher who knows the applicant. All applications without signatures will not be considered.

Due to the high demand for a stipend, consideration for awards will be given to individuals who are members of the ARC of Greater Boston. If you are not a member of ArcGB and wish to join, print out and complete the ArcGB membership form, enclose a check for your ArcGB annual dues, and return your check and membership form with your stipend application. Please note that a stipend rarely covers the entire cost of a summer vacation.

Notification of stipend awards will be mailed out in late May. Award acceptances must be returned to the ARC of Greater Boston by the date designated in the award letter. If the award acceptance letter is not received by the due date, the stipend will be forfeited.

Please note: Award payments will be made directly to the vacation program identified on your application form.
